Q: what parts from other dodge models can be used for a 1975 dodge ram charger?or where can i find parts for it?
need a camper for a 1975 dodge ram charger.also looking for panels and even a front grill.

A: The 1975 to 1978 Chargers were based on the Chrysler Cordoba.

Q: Can a 1975 dodge ramcharger ram charger tow a car?
I’m looking into buying an old ramcharger, preferably a 75. But i also need a vehicle good for towing other vehicles. What are the abilities of a 75 dodge ramcharger as far as towing goes?
Your answers are greatly appreciated.
Thank You much

A: it will tow it,and shouldn’t have any problems doing it,that one probably has a 727 transmission in it and those was excellent transmissions to own,if its in good shape you can easily tow a car with it,the one i had i pulled a car trailer with it from florida so you shouldn’t have any problems with it, if its in good shape, good luck.

Q: how rare is a 1975 ram charger with a big block and 2 bbl carb with a three speed on the tree?

A: id check and make absolutely sure that it was a factory install on that engine, because i got a 71 that has a factory 440 in it,and it was ordered,i turned down 5 grand for it today, after 1972 they wasn’t too popular for adding big bocks to the dodge ram trucks, that one could have been put in it,run the numbers on it to be sure,if it is a factory install it would be pretty rare, the three speed on the column im not to sure about ,mine has the 3 speed with granny gear transmission in it,those were popular, the most ones that i have seen had the 360 in them from the factory, good luck

Q: 1975 Dodge Charger Question?
Well I have a 1975 Dodge Charger and about a year ago some jackapple broke my rear tail light by bumping into the back of my car. The tail light is unrepairable and I have been searching like hell to find a replacement but can’t find one anywhere. Also I really would prefer to not pay like 500 + dollars for a good one because I think it is a rip off. Anyone know exactly where I can find the rear tail light for this car? Also I am pretty sure the 1975 Chrysler Cordoba uses the same parts is this correct? Would it just be easier to search for that Chrysler piece and buy it and swap it in?

Just throwing this in there how much would my 1975 Dodge Charger sell for being automatic, low mileage, near excellent condition (needs a few fixes on interior), 400 cid V-8 4 barrel engine? The current color is a reddish color which I am thinking of painting to black and the interior is white leather.

A: Your Charger is EXACTLY the same as the Cordoba..I would try the local self serve junk yards..the lens will run about $25@a self serve yard, with you taking it off yourself..also,in Sun Valley,Ca.,there is a yard called “Memory Lane” that specializes in old stuff.

Q: Dodge Charger R/T 1975 Fuel Injected MPFI – Alcoholic Engine?
ok i have a few questions what does R/t mean
and MPFI…..and what is the mixture for an alcoholic engine

A: R/T stands for Road/Track.

MPFI = Multi Port Fuel Injection

Now I know they didn’t make any Charger R/Ts in America in 1975, but perhaps this car you speak of is from Brazil or Mexico?

Q: I have a steering wheel from a 69 dodge charger, will it fit on a 1975 Chevy Truck?

A: No it will not fit !! Even if you had a hammer big enough to force it on, you would lose your horn and blinkers would no longer self cancel. The other respondent is right, sell the Charger wheel, and buy a correct wheel for your truck.

Q: What to check if battery doesn’t stay charged?
1975 Yamaha DT125 enduro…is there a charging system in this bike that keeps battery fully charged? Charged it to 100% with trickle charger but only lasted a day with lots of riding?? Is it the battery or the charging system? Thanks

A: check the battery
check you fuses
and wiring
then your generator

Q: Top of the line 400, 6.6-liter, 190-hp engine…?
questions:

1. is the 400 the horsepower?
2. how fast would the car go?

(This is for a 1975 Dodge Charger)

A: No, the 400 is the displacement (400 cubic inches is approximately 6.6 liters). 190 is pretty believable horsepower for a stock post-smog V8.

Not sure what the top speed would be, but I’m guessing 120-140 or so.

Q: Whats better outta these 2 chargers?
Dodge Charger SRT-8 (1970) or
the Dodge Charger RT classic (1975)

A: id have to say anything in the older chargers would be better ,at least they didn’t make those in a 4 door version,i have drove a lot of the newer ones though and they will drive a lot better than the older ones,i just like the body styles and the fact that they aren’t 4 door cars and look more sporty ,i have owned a 75 SE before and it was pretty nice it had the 360 in it and it ran really good for what it was,it was a heavy car though, good luck.

Q: who would win in a race…. dukes of hazzard or starsky and hutch?
the Duke boys had a 1969 dodge charger named the general lee

starsky and hutch had a ford torino (1975 i think)

A: If your’e talking stock/unmodified , the 1969 Charger with the 426 HEMI,440 cu. or 383 cu. engine would beat the 1975 Torino which came with 351,400 or 460 cu. engines. By 1975, the smog regulations had diminished the high horsepower outputs available years earlier. Even the big Ford 460 put out less than 300 horsepower in 75′.

Q: if you had a vote for next years Football HOF what 3 would pick (only 3 picks allowed for this)?
Cris Carter – Wide Receiver – 1987-89 Philadelphia Eagles, 1990-2001 Minnesota Vikings, 2002 Miami Dolphins

Andre Reed – Wide Receiver – 1985-1999 Buffalo Bills, 2000 Washington Redskins

A: I would say Carter and Reed easily and with no arguement needed!

Dent would be my third one, and I’m even a Packers fan ; ). That man harrassed offenses every single snap and was a constant force to be reckoned with!

Q: What are some good movies I should watch over my 46-hour Greyhound trip?
In 2 weeks I’m moving from Wisconsin to Colorado via Greyhound, and I’m not exactly looking forward to using Greyhound again. That said, I am bringing both of my ipods and my pocket charger so that I can charge one ipod and watch the other–I plan to watch a few good movies over the course of my trip.

What are some good movies that I should watch? Here are my favorite genres:
Horror
Comedy
Drama
Thriller

I don’t think I’ve watched more than 75 movies in my lifetime; chances are, even if it’s a popular movie, I haven’t seen it–please recommend all good films (1975 to present) that come to mind!
Also, my favorite actor and actress are Denzel Washington and Sandra Bullock, so it would be great if you can think of some especially good movies of theirs :)

A: slumdog millionaire
its about to little boys who live in the slums of india and meet a girl and the lead character does everything he can to get her back when he loses her 3 times.btw its not a comedy its a drama and action movie.
the lead character real name is dev patel, look him up on google he is so cute!!!!

Q: WHAT ARE SOME SWEET, CLASSIC OLD CARS!!!!?
im talking cars from the late 1968(to early)1975…. good classic cars like.. dodge challengers & chargers, shelby mustangs, lambo miuras, amc javelins, chevelles, buick rivieras, buick wildcat, bonneville convertibles, SS’ cameros, ford mustangs ( NOT TO BiG A FAN OF FORDS? idk :s) monte carlos, Plymouth’s bbarracudas… you get the idea :P

A: well actualy you could easily go back just a tad farther and get the same results
67-69 cuda, gen 1 celica, back when the skyline was a datsun, 1969 toyota 2000gt, fist gen datsun z just to name a few

Q: Which NFL teams do you think should have their stories told in the NFL Films “Missing Rings” series?
The 1969 Vikings, 1981 Chargers, 1988 Bengals, 1990 Bills, and 1998 Vikings have all had their stories told as poignant stories of special teams that could have/would have/should have won an SB ring. But who should be in future series?
It seems the series is meant to convey the disappointment of missing a team’s only chance (s) to win it all.

Teams that lost a SB before or after winning are obvious exclusions, since there is little reason to feel sorry for them, like the
1966 Chiefs (won in 1969)
1968 Colts (won in 1970)
1970 and 1975 Cowboys (1971 and 1977)
1971 Dolphins (1972 and 1973)
1983 Redskins (1982)
1997 Packers (1996)
2001 Rams (1999)

So as I see it, future choices should be teams that appeared (to themselves, the media and fans) as having a real shot at winning, and for whatever reason came up short.
This would eliminate the following teams whose blowout defeat seemed preordained.

1989 Broncos (55-10)
1985 Patriots (46-10)
1994 Chargers (49-26)
1998 Falcons (34-19)

The Bengals have already had their 1988 story told, which lessens the interest for the 1981 team which lost to San Francisco, since some of the same players got that second chance.

The 1990 Bills have been done, a story which effectively encapsules their increasingly bad performances in the subsequent three SB losses.

More recent SB losers have not had enough time in the collective memory to become sentimental, nostalgic cinderellas stories, if they ever will. This would eliminate

2002 Raiders
2004 Eagles
2006 Bears
2008 Cardinals

This leaves the following choices which I think meet the intended criteria for the show, special teams who had memorable seasons surprising their fans and the NFL, who seemed to have a real shot at a SB victory which would have been the perfect icing on the cake for a team who had turned it around, or at least taken the NFL by storm for that year.

1972 Redskins > George Allen’s Over the Hill Gang fit this mold perfectly, electrifying the nation’s capital after a quarter century of futility, and one playoff season. They played the Dolphins tough too.

1980 Eagles > Championship starved Philly loved this blue collar team of overachievers, especially after they beat hated Dallas in the NFC Title Game. But their loss had a lot to do with playing poorly against a well-coached Raiders team.

1977 Broncos > Broncomania was unforgettable that season, after 18 years of losing. It wasn’t a foregone conclusion they would get beaten so badly, as they played the Cowboys tough in the regular season (14-6).

1984 Dolphins > Dan Marino’s first and only SB shot, a remarkable season (14-2) with a record breaking passing attack, the Fins looked like an unstoppable machine coming to Stanford stadium.

Any other suggestions for a “Missing Rings” team episode?

A: 2007 pats and any ‘Skins year. we get all the stars and still lose

Q: Jerry Rice and Emmit Smith are obvious locks, but else do you think will get into the hall this year?
Tim Brown – Wide Receiver/Kick Returner – 1988-2003 Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders, 2004 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Cris Carter – Wide Receiver – 1987-89 Philadelphia Eagles, 1990-2001 Minnesota Vikings, 2002 Miami Dolphins

Don Coryell – Coach – 1973-77 St. Louis Cardinals, 1978-1986 San Diego Chargers

Roger Craig – Running Back – 1983-1990 San Francisco 49ers, 1991 Los Angeles Raiders, 1992-93 Minnesota Vikings

Dermontti Dawson – Center – 1988-2000 Pittsburgh Steelers

Richard Dent – Defensive End – 1983-1993, 1995 Chicago Bears, 1994 San Francisco 49ers, 1996 Indianapolis Colts, 1997 Philadelphia Eagles

Russ Grimm – Guard – 1981-1991 Washington Redskins

Charles Haley – Defensive End/Linebacker – 1986-1991, 1999 San Francisco 49ers, 1992-96 Dallas Cowboys

Rickey Jackson – Linebacker – 1981-1993 New Orleans Saints, 1994-95 San Francisco 49ers

Cortez Kennedy – Defensive Tackle – 1990-2000 Seattle Seahawks

Dick LeBeau* – Cornerback – 1959-1972 Detroit Lions

Floyd Little* – Running Back – 1967-1975 Denver Broncos

John Randle – Defensive Tackle – 1990-2000 Minnesota Vikings, 2001-03 Seattle Seahawks

Andre Reed – Wide Receiver – 1985-1999 Buffalo Bills, 2000 Washington Redskins

Jerry Rice – Wide Receiver – 1985-2000 San Francisco 49ers, 2001-04 Oakland Raiders, 2004 Seattle Seahawks

Shannon Sharpe – Tight End – 1990-99, 2002-03 Denver Broncos, 2000-01 Baltimore Ravens

Emmitt Smith – Running Back – 1990-2002 Dallas Cowboys, 2003-04 Arizona Cardinals
This is the list of finalists.
My opinion of most deserving on this list, besides Rice and Smith, are Sharpe, Carter, and Brown.

A: Jerry and Emmett

Shannon Sharpe-At the time of retirement was the all-time best TE in NFL history. Won 2 rings with the Broncos. He sets the bar high for tight ends who follow but if he does not get in now he will have trouble later because Tony Gonzalez has set the bar even higher. Antonio Gates for one will pass Sharpe and more will follow. He’s in this

Andre Reed. of the 3 wide receivers other than Rice is the favorite to enter. he helped the bills make it to 4 consecutive superbowls (though no wins) and was one of the most feared recievers of his time.

haley-won 5 superbowl rings. most by any player ever.

roger craig-huge part of the offense that won 3 superbowls in san francisco. arguabley the best recieving back of all time leading the NFL in receptions in 1988 and one of 2 running backs to have 1000 yards on the ground and in the air

floyd little is a tough one. fantastic running back who will be penalized for being on a godawful team. a short career will also be a problem for him getting in but his stats are not to be argued with

these 5 are really a toss up as to who will finish off the class
