Q: What years of 440 will fit in my 72 charger?
I’m looking to swap in a 440 into my ‘72 Charger and have found some conflicting information as to what years the donor engine can run. So what years of engine can I put into her without running into issues?
A: any big block engine chrysler built will fit in to that car,the only changes that will have to be made to it will be in the mounts and the transmission, and exhaust, but any 440 can be used in it,or any big block for that matter, any big block engine that chrysler builds will fit in to with standard changes, anything from a 361 big block all the way up to a hemi will fit it,you already have electronic ignition and the box remains the same you just have to change the distributor in it to electronic, there was no difference in the big block bolt pattern on the big blocks at all, you,ll have small issues anytime you go from a small block to a big block this is unavoidable, but they can be dealt with real easy, good luck.
Q: Is it impossible to find a good deal on a 1968-72 Charger that is in good shape?
I’m looking for a good muscle car that I don’t have to spend a lot on and that will be dependable. I’m not set on the Charger, but I like that look a lot. Seems like anything that is restored is running over $20k. Any insight into this? Or any other suggestions on a similar car? Thanks!
I’ve already checked ebay…. Starting to think I need to look at a different model since these are so hot right now.
A: find one that needs just a paint job or something simple try ebay or other online sites
Q: Can a 350 engine and transmission out of a ‘78 Camaro be put into a ‘72 Dodge Charger?
I have ‘78 Camaro with good 350 engine and good TH350 transmission, but the body is bad and I have a ‘72 Dodge Charger with no engine or transmission, but the body is in decent condition. I am just wondering if the motor and transmission can be dropped in the Charger.
A: Kind of like putting a square peg in a round hole. How good are your fabrication skills and do you have access to the required fabrication equipment?
The Chevy engine and transmission will fit. The Dodge engine bay is large enough to fit a MOPAR big block.
Don’t expect to find any off the shelf adapters for this. You will need to fab up your own custom mounts, cross member, engine accessory mounts, and headers. You will also need a custom drive shaft.
In the process you will greatly decrease the value of the Dodge. The current trend in collectible cars is to keep the car as original as possible. To keep the value up of the Dodge you would be better off doing some research of the VIN and find out what engine and transmission came in this car from the factory. Then install an engine and transmission as close as possible to the factory original. Also, the current trend to keep the most value is to keep it as stock as possible. This would also cost less money.
Q: exchanging parts from a 72 dodge charger to a 74 dodge charger?
i have a 74 dodge charger and need a new hood, both front fenders, and doors. i found a 72 dodge charger are these parts interchangeable to mine?
A: yes take the car to a collision shop.
Q: How much should I pay for a ‘72 Charger project?
It needs new quarter panels and a fender. The underbody is solid. It was a 318, now has a 383 in it. The engine is good, but not all hooked up, so it is a rolling chasis and an engine. How much do you think it’s worth?
A: 500 to a thousand if its all their and all the parts are there to work with,if not no more then 5-800,chrysler cars are high when you go to buy them right now, especially project cars, good luck .
Q: Is the MH-71 Nikon Coolpix battery charger (what I currently have) compatible with the MH-72?
My new point and shoot camera is the Nikon L20 and the MH-72 battery charger is what is recommended, for this model. I’d like to not have to buy a new charger, if it is not necessary. Thanks!
A: I do not know but below I listed a link to Nikon’s website to a tech support page and you should be able to contact someone who can answer your question.
Good luck.

Q: what years are compatible with a 72 dodge charger?
i have a 1972 Dodge Charger and i know of some one selling a 73 charger as a project but will my charger and the other one be able to switch out the parts with each other?
A: just about everything on th 72-74 was interchangeable on those cars, there was very little difference in them,my brother in law has a 73 he bought new and we re-did some of it and it has some 74 parts on it,a lot of the parts on those work though, good luck.

Q: My bf just got a 72 Charger what do u think? Is it just going to be a head ach? The car isn’t running.?
A: great car but be prepared to spend some money getting it going and restoring it and keeping it up, have fun.
Q: Rust hole on the roof of my 72 charger…?
I have a rust hole on my roof of my 72 charger that was there b4 i baught it, and i was wondering if water going into that hole could create a bigger problem? Its located on the passenger side there the roof angles down to the door trim.
A: Yes. The water will run down into the car along the door post, firewall, and eventually collect on the floor. I restore these B bodies. The rust is probably down at the bottom of the door post, the inner rocker panel, and most of the floor board is probably gone.
The other problem is that where you have said the rust is, this is a leaded seam. The unlike metals and the water only compound the problem. This is also a safety issue as this is the windshield post.

Q: What car is beter a 1970-72 chevelle or a 70s charger?
what car is viewed as more of a badass car. like when you hear the word charger people think wow thats a nice muscle car. But what car is thought of as more bad ass ? i like them both i just dont know either to go mopar or chevy.
A: Both are great cars. The Chevelle is a lot easier to find parts for than the Charger because fewer manufacturers make things for Mopars. Personally, it is no contest. The Charger! I am a Mopar fan and my philosophy is Mopar or No car. If you want to be part of the crowd, get a Chevy, if you want to stand out, get a Mopar.
Q: How to weld subfraem connectors on a 72 dodge charger?
A: That is a full frame car.
Q: Rust hole in roof of 72 charger?
I have a rust hole on my 72 dodge charger above the door on the roof, and wondering if this could cause a more serious inside problem, like the water running down in somewhere?

A: Yes. The water will run down the inside of the A pillar and down to the floor. As much of a hole there is the floor is probably already pretty rotted. As well as the inner rocker panel. These cars are notorious for this.
All rust holes need to be welded with new metal in order to stop the problem. No other patching will work.
