I have an 89 supra, I was wondering if anyone knew where i could buy a light conversion that would make my supra have regular lights instead of the stock flip up lights.

Q: how much does it cost to restraighten a chasis to an ‘89 supra turbo?
im thinking of buying one from a good friend of mine whos a mechanic but he cant tell me a good estimate on a chassis straightening cause he has never done one. he says its a slight bend. it’s a stock car
A: its not worth it. my friend got his straighten and he took it to the strip and it bent back again after some hard launches. for the price you can find these cars, save the money you would spend and find a good one. if mine got bent, i would scrap it and get a new shell.

I have a bad computer and i want to put a new one in but i cant find it.

Front seating area, passenger side, behind dash, above glove compartment cavity, mounted on dash upper panel

A: There isn’t a blow off valve. If it has anything, it might have a bypass valve. Look for something that looks similar to a blow off valve with the vent tube plumbed back into the intake somewhere.
Q: I have broken head gasket for my 89 supra turbo should i sell or fix it?
the water is mixing with the motor oil and i wanted to see if its good to fix it or just get rid of the car and the car has been overheating lately also
A: If you are familiar with engines, It;s not too hard. Make sure there is not any damage to the head once you remove it. Change your oil, it should be milky right now. Once you replace the head you need to do a compression test and make sure you torque your head bolts to spec. Oh and you’ll need some coolant!
Q: what car what have a faster time in the quarter mile and eighth mile? ‘98 firebird or ‘89 supra turbo?
i can’t decide which one to buy. in the end which will give me the faster times before working on it and after working on it. which one would take more money to work on

my friend’s brother is selling it but i dont know i should get that or like a 97-99 eclipse gst… what would be a better choice in the long run… planning on keeping it for like 5-6 years
A: You have to go with the Supra. That car is a legend. In the year 1987 the Toyota Celica and the Supra were one car. But the Celica became a front wheel car and the Supra stand to be a rear-wheel. That is one advanage that the Supra has over the Eclipse. Because the Eclipse is a front wheel car and the Supra is rear wheel and rear wheel are a whole lot more funner to drive. And for $3000 in good condition is not a bad deal. But still try to chew them down the lower. The Supra has an inline 6 engine which is rare to fine now. The inline 6 are better in my opinion then the V6 because they are a whole lot more easier to work on. Also the Mark III 1989 Supra Turbo comes stock with a 3.0L engine with 232 horesepower. If I was you I would go with the Supra, but that is just my opinion. The Eclipse is not that bad either, there both still Japanse’s car which are going to tend to be more reliable. Q: 89 supra/cressida cable replacement?
i was wondering if anyone knew a site i could go on or an online free manual i could look at for my 89 toyota supra. it has the same engine as the cressida. i have the transmission detent cable (the one that controls downshifting) (part of throttle cable assembly) and need to know how to put it on. need to know if i need to remove anything or if there is a simple way to do it. thanks.
A: i own a repair shop,and i think on this one you have to remove the trans-pan,and it hooks on from the inside of it,i have did those before,but its been a while ,but i think that’s it,,i don’t know of any sites that have it up for viewing,,good luck i hope this help,s.
Q: I just bought a 89 toyota supra and it wont start. ?
i bought a new battery i filled all the fluids and nothing. i even tried to jump the new battery. i just don’t know. it was running fine yesterday and now nothing. can someone please help?
A: well when you disconnect the battery it will reset everything, this includes the security system if it has an aftermarket one, alot of the time aftermarket security systems cut the ignition power after being reset.sounds to me like when you bought it they neglected to tell you that there was a security system present, so i would call whoever you bought it from and ask them if this is the case.
Q: Used JDM Engine for 89 Supra?
A few hours ago, I posted a question about a Supra with a blown head gasket. One of the people that answered replied that its better and cheaper to just get another engine, rather than have the head gasket repaired, and said that there are used JDM engines for around 700. Where can I find these engines? websites/links? And will they fit an 89 Supra? Thanks in advance.

Q: can a 87 supra non turbo head gasket replace a 89 supra turbo head gasket?
A: Spend the money and get the correct gasket and only replace it once. If you use a non turbo on a turbo you are going to blow it soon. The turbo gasket is made to withstand the extra pressure that the turbo adds.
